SAP Quality Management - Dimensional reduction of acceptance parameters with PCA.

Application of Big data on SAP Quality Management can be looked from two perspectives.

First is to evaluate the quality of goods that you purchase using a purchase order. Usually when the items are received the quality of those items are evaluated from and results are recorded against quality inspection characteristics.

The second perspective can be if you are manufacturing goods or raw material and are recording quality parameters into quality characteristics.

In both cases you need to understand that all parameters against which you are recording inspection results may not be necessary. If you analyze your historical data and quality inspection results and apply PCA ( Principal Component Analysis) on data , you will be able to short list most important result features that contribute in quality inspection results.
